Licenses officially allow Roblox creators to use Intellectual Property (IP) in their games. IP holders list their trademarked media, like Yakuza: Like a Dragon or That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime along with some pre-set conditions, like revenue share, license length, and maximum maturity ratings.Â
Â
Creators can apply for a license with just one short, written answer, and if the IP holder grants the license, the game becomes officially licensed. While normal brand deals involve a lot of oversight, negotiations, and review cycles, licenses allow Roblox creators to quickly add IP to their games without any back-and-forth.
What Are Licenses?
Who are We?
License to Build is an awareness platform created by GeekOut for promoting the License Manager on the Roblox Creator Dashboard (unaffiliated). GeekOut’s goal is to connect existing IP with Roblox creators worldwide.Â

Explore Our IP Partners
License to Build highlights GeekOut’s IP partners that are listed on the License Manager. While we primarily have Japanese titles listed here, we’re eager to expand our catalog. If there are IPs that you want to work with, be sure to join our Discord Server to let us know!
